Roslindale Open Studios is seeking volunteers to help promote and work the event Saturday November 4 and Sunday November 5, 2012. The event will be from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.  

Volunteer for the event
We are seeking volunteers for 3 hour shifts to greet visitors at the group locations on Saturday and Sunday between the hours of 11 a.m. and 5 p.m.

The group locations are:
Roslindale House, 120 Poplar Street
Boston School of Modern Language, 814 South Street
Sacred Heart School Auditorium, 1035 Canterbury Street
Roslindale Congregational Church, 25 Cummins Highway.

If you are planning on attending Roslindale Open Studios, why not make a day of it and volunteer before or after your visit to the art venues. Art Ambassadors provide a valuable service to the community and help to make the visitors' and artists' experience organized and enjoyable. It is fun and rewarding!

Promote the event
We are seeking volunteers to distribute posters and flyers prior to the event in Roslindale and all surrounding communities - Jamaica Plain, Dedham, Hyde Park, Cambridge, Mattapan, Roxbury, South End, West Roxbury, Milton, Needham, South Shore, North Shore and everywhere. Thank You!

PRINT MEDIA
Roslindale Open Studios prints and distributes 5,000
postcards and 10,000 brochures. Artists mail out and
distribute over 3,000 invitations. 2,500 Posters are
distributed at other Boston area open studios and hung in
Jamaica Plain, Roxbury, Cambridge, Needham, South End,
Roslindale, West Roxbury, Hyde Park, Dedham, Mattapan,
Brookline,Somerville, Local Colleges, and Newton.
ELECTRONIC MEDIA
Roslindale Open Studios promotes the event though a comprehensive web site, monthly email newsletters to over 2,000 contacts,with a Facebook Page, and Twitter and numerous videos in multiple locations. PSA's are placed on WBZ, WCVB, WHDH and Boston Neighborhood Network Television.
COMMUNITY
Roslindale Open Studios promotes in the Roslindale Community by participating in the Roslindale Day Parade, display in the Roslindale Public Library Window, at the Roslindale Farmers' Market and at other community events.

Roslindale Day Parade

Walk in the Parade with the Roslindale Open Studios Committee!

This year the Roslindale Day Parade will take place on Sunday, October 14th at 1 PM.

The Roslindale Day Parade occurs on the first or second Sunday of October every year and has been a neighborhood tradition for over thirty years. The annual event showcases the diversity and beauty of our neighborhood and its residents. It’s funded in part by grants from the City of Boston’s office of Arts, Tourism and Special Events, as well as through financial contributions of the local business community and the fundraising efforts of the non-profit Roslindale Day Parade Committee.

The Parade Route The Roslindale Day Parade route is from Washington Street to South Street to Belgrade Avenue to West Roxbury Parkway to Centre Street to South Street to Walter Street.
